Venture House: Edition #14
VC Events, Jobs, Resources, and more.
Venture House Squad,
Welcome to the the 14th edition of our weekly newsletter where we dive into the latest events, jobs, resources, and more across the venture landscape. We’re in the final innings of the year and funds are teeing up their last round of checks and last hires. But don’t sweat it, we have tons of events and even more open positions this week.
If you’re new, my name is Gyan Kandhari and I’m the Head of Community at Venture House. I connect investors and founders, lead events and partnerships, and create content for rising VCs.
Without further ado, here are this week’s updates:
Investor & Founder Events
We have some fall founder and funder events listed below if you’re not hungover or overcoming a sugar high from this past week’s festivities.
Check out our fully updated list as of today, November 1st.

Here's a quick rundown of what’s on the calendar…
🥐 All in All Fundraising Breakfast w/ Cameron Ventures (view)
Hosted by: Ruben Austin, Brian Gong
When: Tuesday, November 5th
Where: NYC
My take: Ruben (Founder, All in All) hosts monthly breakfasts with startup founders and investors at Spring Place. This month features Brian Gong, Senior Associate at Cameron Ventures, who will discuss strategies to raise a successful round. The panel normally takes 30-45 minutes with ample time to network at the beginning and at the end (you can even stop by later to just catch the networking portion). Top venue, good eats, and a curated crowd make this one an easy addition to your monthly rotation.
🍜 B2B Founders Fundraising Dinner w/ Forum Ventures, Bowery Capital, NextwaveNYC (view)
Hosted by: Naomi Goez, Patrick McGovern, Dorothy Chang
When: Wednesday, November 6th
Where: NYC
My take: Noami (Forum), Patrick (Bowery Capital), and Dorothy (Nextwave) are hosting an intimate, casual dinner for B2B founders to connect and share insights. Forum and Bowery are two top dogs in the early-stage funding scene and therefore make this event a clear opportunity for founders to introduce themselves and learn from the best.
🔍 Inside: South Park Commons (view)
Hosted by: Arian Agrawal
When: Thursday, November 7th
Where: NYC
My take: South Park Commons is a community of builders and investors focused on supporting founders in the “-1 to 0” stage via capital and strategic guidance. Arian (Partner) and Dylan (Principal) will be sharing their approach to investing in founders and where they see the biggest opportunities. As an investor, SPC represents an evergreen channel for sourcing seed/series A investments; as for founders, finding a community that truly backs you from all angles is rather unique. For this reason, I suggest stopping by and making that connection.
☕ Coffee Club | Early-Stage B2B SaaS Founders & Funders w/ Forum Ventures (view)
Hosted by: Olivia O’Sullivan
When: Tuesday, November 12th
Where: NYC
My take: I normally wouldn’t feature an event more than a week away but Forum’s monthly coffee club events get filled up FAST. Olivia (Partner) is bringing together early-stage investors and founders for Tuesday morning coffee in the West Village. Caffeine and good conversations = a great start to the day.
🦾 AI Founders Night: Accelerate Your Startup w/ Techstars (view)
Hosted by: Sylvia Bouloutas, Akadina Yadegar
When: Thursday, November 7th
Where: SF
My take: Sylvia (Investor) and Akadina (Program Lead) are hosting an evening of networking and insights with Techstars. This is a chance for AI founders to meet the Techstars team and learn what it takes to be part of the accelerator program. Given the number of applications the team receives, showing up and putting a face to your name is always a great idea to get an edge.
VC Job Openings
We worked overtime this week to gather all of the new openings, because sheeesh - there’s a lot. Grab your bag of candy and a cup of coffee because we’re locking in this weekend.
Here’s an updated list of VC roles as of today, November 1st (still can’t get over this).
👉 You can find the full list here 👈
I’ve handpicked a few of my favorite openings below…
⚡ Principal, Congruent Ventures (view)
🌉 Location: SF
My take: Congruent is hiring a Principal and an Associate to expand their focus in climate change and sustainability. You’ll own the full investment cycle and operate alongside a team of 13 investors out of the firm’s SF office. Board member seats, path to partner, and a billion in AUM. Sounds like a good gig to me.
Note: OK 10 years of experience is a lot (esp for our readers). With that said, check out the Associate position here if you’re interested.
⚡ Investor, Struck Capital (view)
🌴 Location: LA
My take: Traditional associate role (sourcing through deal execution) for those with 2+ years of prior venture experience. Struck is one of the most active seed funds with notable LPs including Leonardo DiCaprio, RedBird, and WestCap. Easy application process is great but if you want to stand out from the crowd, I suggest going the extra mile (I’ll let you decide how).
⚡ Investor Relations Associate, Forum Ventures (view)
🏙️ Location: Remote
My take: Take a shot each time you see Forum in this newsletter. The team is hiring an Investor Relations Associate to build out the firm’s deal pipeline. Given Forum is one of the most active VCs in the country, your role is hypercritical to the investment cycle. If you want to develop your founder and investor network, this is it.
⚡ Associate & Principal Roles, Level Ventures (view)
🌉 Location: SF
My take: Level Ventures is popping off as the team has listed 10 new investor positions (yeah, you read that right). While each job description reads the same, the roles slightly differ and address different coverage areas.
November is going to be a doozy. Election season, 80-degree weather (?!), college admissions (for those with younger siblings), Knicks basketball. What a time a time to be alive.
Here’s your weekly fortune cookie to kick off the month…
People ask you how you found your passion.
Answer: By starting when you sucked and not giving up.
